Hier und jetzt: Demian Bern und Florian Klette
Each week, the series “Hier und Jetzt” presents artists who live and work in Stuttgart. In talks, performances and discussions, the series aims to exhibit different approaches in various sections and disciplines to shape the scene of young artists in Stuttgart.

Demian Bern (*1980 in Filderstadt) studied communicational design at the Academie Beeldende Kunsten in Maastricht and at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart. Since 2005 he has been working as a freelance graphic designer, especially for cultural facilities like Akademie Schloss Solitude, the Staatsballett Stuttgart and the Institut Français Magdeburg. Bern is co-founder of the Interventionsraum in Stuttgart and of EXP.edition, which is a platform for experimental publications. His latest projects contain Re: Actors – Op de bodem neergestort, at Goethe-Institute Rotterdam, EXP.edition. zu Gast bei Kunsttermine at the Art Forum Berlin with Pablo Wendel in 2008, EXP.01 – EXP.20, conception and design of the Interventionsraum Stuttgart (since 2007).
Florian Klette (*1982 in Karlsruhe) lives in Stuttgart and works as a freelance artist and with his work he explores social and praxis. Since 2006 he is studiing at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart with Christoph Jankowski. In 2007 he took part in the project Institute for Social Research, a cooperation between the California College of Arts San Francisco and the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart. Florian Klette participated in exhibitions at the Württembergischer Kunstverein, the Kunstverein Heidelberg, the Interventionsraum Stuttgart and at Invisible Exports which is a gallery located in New York.
