ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Metabolismus is a band which over the last 30 years has produced sounds at the intersection between psychedelic song structures, improv, and free jazz. Each concert unfolds as a combination of arrangements and looseness and is conceived as a new venture or trip. The members are native to the Swabian region, and have built up a following in the underground music scene of the area, as well as a more extended community in the US and Europe. Selected tapes and albums include Sounds of an Empty Room with Kim Fowley (1992), Sprießwärtsdrall (1998) and Sprialtendenz (2013) as well as several collaborations with Nihilist Spasm Band, Eugene Chadbourne and Jooklo Duo, amongst others. They most recently toured in France and Belgium in the fall of 2018.
