The lithography workshop offers ideal conditions for creating artistic works on the stone printing plate (Solnhofen limestone). These can be chalk or ink drawings, but many other materials are also suitable for leaving graphic traces on the stone. The lithographic stones must first be carefully ground on a grinding basin in a room provided for this purpose. Stones in formats from 20 x 30 cm to 56 x 56 cm are available. Printing is done on a manually operated Milanese rubbing press (80 x 110 cm). Colour rollers and drying boards are available.

Users of the workshop should have experience in lithography and lithographic printing. If you are interested, workshop manager Carmen Weber will be pleased to teach you the basics of lithography and lithographic printing. Dates for this should be arranged individually and by appointment.
